All About Kids (Spring '10)

This past Friday we went to All About Kids again. We haven't been in probably a year so it was due time. One of Bay's favorite friends, Kat, was there. The girls are old enough now that I can just let them go. I try to make sure I can see them from a distance. Bay is so fast and moves frequently so I didn't see as much of her as I did June. June is a bit slower so I was able to take a couple of videos of her. Here she is on the balancing beam.

Super Silly Bay!

That girl! She had a giggle fit monday that lasted close to two hours. She couldn't stop herself. Out of control. She was a little silly after naptime. Here is the proof: Example A is a cute super girl silly. She dressed herself from head to toe. I believe she was inspired by her cousin Ian's superhero birthday party pictures.

Example B:

Oh it gets better. Example C: This is probably my favorite.

she continues, Example D:

Then sometime after that, the giggles started. And did not stop until she fell asleep that night. She ate dinner- with the giggles. It was good to hear her laugh but it was a bit disruptive. It took over her body. It was like she was drunk. She wasn't worth much good. I got her dressed for dance- with the giggles. As you see in the picture she could no longer stand straight due to the silliness.
Look how cute the leg warmers are. Bay's best friend Jordyn gave those to her. So, I took her to dance and she giggled while putting her ballet shoes on and I nervously watched her go into her class. Mrs. Connie, I am so sorry for her behavior. Even the other moms in the waiting room noticed she was extra giggly. I guess she did okay in class. No complaints. and she got a sucker and a sticker. I thought she might have burned some energy and giggles off after dance. Nope. She giggled on the ride home and then Daddy noticed the problem when we got home. What the heck did I feed her? It reminded me of my Grandmother when she use to ask me, "Do you have fever with those spells?" maybe I acted the same way when I was little. Oh....Bay(with a sigh). Maybe I will figure her out one day( probably not). At least she made me smile and not cry that day.

Interpretive dance with Bay

Bay is a hoot. She LOVES to sing and dance. She is very dramatic, passionate, and emotional. She can be a little over the top sometimes. She was dancing as usual the other night and everyone was home and sitting in the living room before bedtime. Daddy decided to dance with Bay which we do every now and then but tonight was different. Daddy decided to try copying her dance moves and keep up with her. I have no idea what she is singing. I think she was making up her own song. It was so funny! I was laughing so hard that I figured this was worth video taping. Tony video taped me dancing with her too. It was definitely exercise. She never stops moving. And if you say the word "energy" she speeds up. The video of Tony is much more silly (and shorter) so view his video here. It is called Interpretive Dance with Bay & Daddy #2. Sorry, the video was too long for blogger so click the link to youtube.com Enjoy!

My girl got mad tricks yo!

Bay is so funny. I am realizing she is my pretty princess that wants to stay inside and be pampered. She tells me "it is too hot, I want to go inside mom"when it is only 70 degrees. Boy is she in for a treat this summer when we go to the beach. (She asks me every morning, "can we go to Dauphin Island now?") Daddy was trying to get her to eat the last bit of her food one night. In the past we told her that it would make her muscles big. That worked. The girl wants to be strong. This time, he told her it would make her smart. That didn't interest her. I guess she doesn't want to get smarter. So he told her she would turn into a pretty princess if she ate it. That worked. she ate it. Then she got upset because she didn't turn into a pretty princess right after she ate it. She is a bit girly for me but it reminds me of how God makes us ladies. We all want to be pretty princesses and be swept off our feet and protected forever. I am very blessed to have a husband who makes me feel this way. Bay's future husband will have his hands full. I will continue to pray for that man now as God prepares him for her and vice versa. And the reason for this post was to show a 2 min. video of Bay dancing and singing but blogger won't let me upload it. I tried to upload it for about 7 hrs and it still wasn't finished. so I gave up. Here is a picture of her princess self instead. She is wearing a clover flower crown made by the queen.

Meet Bay

Meet Bay Maryn Standrod:

This is Bay at 5 wks. I should have known then she would be a stinker. At 11 mths she paints with her body. She is about 2 months shy of being 2 and we are already seeing the drama queen. Everything is "OH NO" or "OH MAN". The tone of her voice is what makes it so funny. Yesterday, when Daddy told her it was time to brush her teeth, she threw herself into the couch saying, "noooooo". And then dramatically threw herself onto the ottoman. She then went to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She knows that after she brushes her teeth it is bedtime. What kid ever wants to go to bed.She is always in a good mood and is freindly to other people. She says, "Hi... Hi ...Hi". She loves to spin around and make herself dizzy. She looks drunk when she does it. Here, Mommy put a bow in Giraffe's hair and she thought it was the funniest thing. She is so silly. She is learning new words everyday. I enjoy rolling the basketball back and forth with her. I love to see her brain working. I found a play food set on sale and bought it for her. She loves anything new. With these velcro veggies she can practice cutting with the play knife. She is getting better at it. She gets excited when she "cuts" them. It is kinda scary watching her walk around with a play knife. I helped her cut a real banana with her play knife. She liked that. The next time I gave her a banana, she cut it into 3 pieces with her fork. She did not eat it though. At least she was working on a skill. She is also learning her colors. Today, we were playing on mommy and daddy's bed. She was brushing my hair into my face. It is another version of peekaboo for her. This time I blew my hair once it was covering my face. She squealed with excitement. We then had to do it 20 more times after that. Each time she squealed. Another fun thing to watch her do is dance while Daddy plays guitar. He plays and then stops. She freezes with her hands out in front of her. It turned into a stop and go game. So this is Bay and I love her. There is much more fun things about her but I will share them as I go.
